Protect Your Inbox From Spam Mails

E-mails are one way to send information in a fast and safe manner. We can classify the e-mails into two categories. The first category e-mails are those that are useful mails from our friends, relatives and business related mails. The second category e-mails are useless mails that are sent through virus programs. No one likes to have these unnecessary mails stored in their inbox. These mails are usually referred as junk mails or spam mails. Many people think that it is a tedious process to find and destroy the junk mails. But that is not the case. We can make use of softwares to prevent spam mails from entering our inbox. One such software is Mozilla Thunderbird, which can be downloaded for free in the internet.

How It Works?

• After installing Mozilla Thunderbird properly, go to your inbox using this software.
• Select all junk mails in your inbox and click the Junk button in the menu bar.
• Now all the junk mails will be moved to the junk folder.
• See if any useful mails are there in your Junk folder and if it there move it to the inbox.
• By doing this, useful mails will come to your inbox and junk mails will go to the junk folder automatically.

Preparing The white List

The white list contains the e-mail addresses of those from whom we receive useful mails.

• Click the tools button in the menu bar available in Mozilla Thunderbird.
• Click the ‘Junk Mail Control Option’.
• Select ‘Do not mark messages as junk mail’.
• Click ‘Personal Address Book’ option that appears in the dialog box.
• Click Ok. All the e-mail addresses present in the inbox will get stored in the address book.
